Simon Harris BAHons DIP ARC/Prof Stud        Architect RIBA & ARB

My core background of experience was working with existing buildings, many of which were listed, and new buildings in sensitive and built up surroundings which has developed my reputation for reinventing and rejuvenating spaces to create exciting light modern living and working environments, utilising traditional and modern techniques and adopting conceptual design principles.

Righteous ethics are applied to all jobs from small domestic extensions to larger ventures. With ongoing personal involvement at each stage of the projects and attention to detail; strong relationships are formed with all of my clients resulting in repeat appointments.

Lisa Skingsley Practice Manager

Originally I worked within the recruitment and sales industry, as a Contracts Manager looking after clients such as Lloyds TSB, Royal Bank of Scotland and B.T.

My optimistic, energetic character has been described as being infectious and encouraging. My role within the company is to maintain the smooth running of the practice by organising office operations and procedures, manage all staff, health and safety and looking after invoicing, budgets and expenditure.

Andrea McCormack Accounts

I have been part of the team since inception. My background is in the financial sector where I worked for many years prior to setting up my own consultancy in 2002.

I have a wealth of experience and pride myself on being scrupulous with the day to day financial management of the practice.

Leszek Kolodziejak MArch    Architectural Technician

I completed the five year full time masters degree program at the Faculty of Architecture Krakow University of Technology, Poland in the field of Architecture and Urban Design (2004) including Parts 1 and 2 of the Royal Institute of British Architects with highest honours in 2004.

I joined a practice in England in 2006 working on both commercial and residential projects. I have recently made the jump to Harris McCormack Architects where I hope to continue to produce design driven work of the highest standard.

Matt Fraser-Betts BA Hons MArch   Architectural Technician

I began work on the building site as a labourer at the age of 16 and have worked in construction ever since. I have since completed a Ba(Hons) and an MArch in architecture.

Domestic architecture, I find by far the most rewarding and enjoyable, although undoubtedly challenging. This form of architecture, above all others, has the ability to positively influence the quality of life of the client and their family, providing them with a considered space that enhances their personal lives.

Martin Stevens MCIAT  Chartered Architectural Technologist

I began working in Architecture back in 2004 at a local practice whilst studying part-time, I qualified as a Chartered Architectural Technologist.

This exposure to both live briefs alongside tuition gave me a solid knowledge base to grow and develop in the field of architecture. I remained with the practice for 7 years, where I met Simon and William before moving on to another firm. I spent 5 years working within the retail and care sectors, mainly focused on large scale care village developments in the south of the UK from inception to delivery, for a number of well-established national client organisations. I then re-joined Simon and Will at Harris McCormack Architects.

Michael Leverton BA Hons ACIAT    Architectural Technician

Upon leaving school I trained as a boat-builder, designing and fitting out luxury yacht interiors.

Ambitious to learn, I become an architecture student in 2010 at an engineering based university where I was able to transfer my skills and gain invaluable knowledge about construction techniques. I also focused on my work ethic and determination to deliver the highest possible quality in each and every project, summarised faultlessly by Sir Henry Royce. “Strive for perfection in everything you do. Take the best that exists and make it better. When it does not exist, design it.”

Anna Pokorná BA Hons MSc Architectural Assistant

I came to the UK in 2008 on a scholarship, from which I chose to pursue Architecture, RIBA (Part 1), continuing my family’s heritage within the construction industry. I joined Harris McCormack Architects in the autumn of 2015. With experience in various sectors, I bring an enthusiastic, creative and dedicated input to the projects I have involvement with.

Growing up in mountainous valleys of magnificent Slovak countryside and having had recently received a Master of Science in Architecture and Sustainability, I aspire to become a strong asset within this field. I believe in creating alluring, environmentally friendly designs that embellish their setting.

Tom Ramsden BA Hons    Architectural Assistant

Currently studying Construction and Technology of complex building, I am one of the more recent additions to the team. I join an already successful practice and bring with me a wealth of life experience, determination and enthusiasm.

Previously working in a number of varied disciplines, I am equipped with a cocktail of qualities that make me an unusual character in the studio. I am approachable, patient, dedicated and conscientious, creating intuitive and considered solutions with a keen eye for well executed contemporary design.

I have high aspirations and the potential to fulfil those goals – watch this space!
