Restoration, Refurbishment and Extensions to Grade II Listed Hall

This Grade II listed small country house dates back to the mid 18th century. Originally built as a farmhouse, it was extended and remodelled extensively around the turn of the 19th century.

Our brief was to “take away” these most recent extensions and restore the house to its former glory.

Large scale alterations were made to the house in the 1950’s / 60’s with several sections of the original building being taken down and replaced with a series of flat roof extensions. Internally, the layout of the house changed dramatically during this period.

The project involved a significant amount of demolition works to clear the 20th century alterations and the construction of two wings. Internally, the main fabric underwent extensive restoration and the house now benefits from completely new services. The end result is a stunning family home respecting the heritage whilst offering a luxurious modern standard of living.

The Hall has appeared in several national publications since completion.
