A passion for design

Meet the people who make us, us.

Our team

My core background of experience was working with existing buildings, many of which were listed, and new buildings in sensitive and built up surroundings which has developed my reputation for reinventing and rejuvenating spaces to create exciting light modern living and working environments, utilising traditional and modern techniques and adopting conceptual design principles.

Righteous ethics are applied to all jobs from small domestic extensions to larger ventures. With ongoing personal involvement at each stage of the projects and attention to detail; strong relationships are formed with all of my clients resulting in repeat appointments.

My career began working for the family construction and engineering business. I went on to work for a local architect working on a wide variety of commissions including high end private residential, the hotel industry, sports facilities, the education sector, the National Health Service, private industrial and commercial sectors, and high end speculative developments. I am a Chartered member of the Institute of Architectural Technologists and also qualified as a Domestic Energy Assessor.

I held a partnership role in a multi disciplinary practice for seven years before setting up Harris McCormack Architects with former partner Simon Harris. I work with a broad practical knowledge and vast experience.

Having recently completed my degree in Architecture and Structural Engineering at the University of Leeds, I joined Harris McCormack Architects to complete my first placement year. Throughout my time here I hope to improve my technical knowledge and provide creative input into a range of projects that we undertake.

I aspire to become an accredited Architect and working with a talented range of professionals at HMA has already provided me with some great foundations to work off!

After finishing my studies at University of Lincoln I spent some time improving my software skills in the M&E field followed by term at a chartered architects for  5 years. I have gained wide variety of skills and technical understanding in the construction field which I am expand upon t further at Harris McCormack.

I have a great passion when it comes to construction drawings, detailing, 3D modelling, and anything architecture related.

After completing my diploma in Art and Design, I wanted a new challenge and felt the construction industry would be a good place to focus my efforts and further my knowledge within an industry I had always been so fascinated by.

Since joining Harris McCormack Architects my software skill has improved significantly, and I strive to develop my understanding on every project I am part of.

I will be studying Construction and the Built environment at Leicester College alongside fulltime employment, which will allow me to align both technical, studio based experience with the theory and academic backing from LC.

I’m ambitiously determined to progress and get involved in some exciting projects in the future.

I have completed studies in interior design and architecture and so bring a versatility to the office, and a perspective that is usually an after thought to each project.

I thoroughly enjoy conceptual exploration and find that this produces considered solutions.

Having previously worked as a Virtual Personal Assistant for a wide variety of clients across various sectors, I have a wealth of experience in many areas including customer service, event management, property management and marketing. I have an eye for detail and pride myself on my organisational skills which help to maintain the smooth day to day running of the practice.

I enjoy the variety of my role from liaising with new clients to organising staff events. We have a great team here at Harris McCormack Architects and it’s great to work in such a thriving practice.

I have been part of the team since inception. My background is in the financial sector where I worked for many years prior to setting up my own consultancy in 2002.

I have a wealth of experience and pride myself on being scrupulous with the day to day financial management of the practice.
